If you’ve haven’t heard of it before, Cross Currents offers a series of kayaking courses and trips for all skill levels in a variety of venues ranging from Chesapeake Bay, the Outer Banks, Baja Mexico, and Belize.

If you don’t have your own kayak, for an additional fee the instructors often provide boats, or will put you in touch with a local outfitter.
In March, NBCB instructor and trip leader Javier Castaño plans to attend the six-day, five-night mini-expedition in the 10,000 Islands section of Everglades National Park. Send him an email if you’d like to join or share resources.
It’s an expedition style trip, where you’ll carry your food and water, moving from island to island. Expect to paddle about 10 nm per day.
