New Post Paddle Party Place: Scrappleland

Written by Jonathan Small

We’re literally flipping out over our new neighbors, Scrappleland, at 1150 Manhattan Avenue, formerly Greenpoint Beer & Ale, and home of the iconic Watertower sculpture, by Brooklyn artist, Tom Fruin.

Scrappleland is a new venture from Peter Rose, the creative mind behind Greenpoint’s world famous pinball speakeasy at the Sunshine Laundromat and Pinball

The project, with business partner Ali Bisset, is a long time dream come true for Rose, allowing him to showcase his world class pinball lineup in a fun, family friendly environment. Named after Rose’s Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Scrapple, the venue will continue to be a neighborhood hub and hangout with its rooftop bar and large downstairs space, soon to hold over 100 pinball machines.  Weekly drop in pinball tournaments are hosted Wednesdays at 7 pm.  Peter and Ali warmly welcome all members of North Brooklyn Community Boathouse, and are thrilled to host NBCB parties and events.

Scrappleland is open from Monday through Friday, 4 pm to 2 am, and weekends from 12 pm to 2 am.  Food service is scheduled to begin in May and promises a high quality menu with something for everyone. The main floor and rooftop bars have a variety of craft and domestic brews, cocktails, and alcohol free options. So, grab some quarters, head to Scrappleland for a pint and a few games of the classic Williams pinball, Whitewater, where, with some skill, you can meet “The Spirit of the River”.
