Urgent: Help us win a grant!
We have an exciting grant opportunity and we need you to vote for us!
Just five minutes of your time can help us win a $75K grant we’ve just been nominated for.
Flourishing in Community is an EPA program offering grants to environmental justice projects, including coastal community organizations in NY and NJ.
We need you to vote for NBCB’s application so the grant assessors see that our local community values our programs.
The voting process is a bit involved, so think of it this way:
If you spend 5 minutes on it, you could earn $15K a minute for NBCB.
HOW TO VOTE
First, you’ll register on the Flourishing in Community website.
There are several steps to complete registration, but it won’t take long, we promise.
In the “organization or local entity name” space, write “local resident,” “NBCB member,” or the location where you live or work.
Once you’ve registered, you are ready to vote.
Our nomination is number 983. Type the number in the search box or scroll to find our nomination (hint: it’s on page 2 of the results). See image to the right.
You can vote for up to 10 nominees, so feel free to explore others. Be sure to check out Hunters Point Park Conservancy’s exciting project (it’s number 335).
Share with others who might be interested, and urge them to vote, too.
WINNING THIS GRANT WOULD HELP US:
Provide training and support for our volunteers
Help us manage our increasing boathouse costs
Keeping our membership fees low and our public programs free
Expand our partner engagement
Below is a link to vote and share with others. Remember to vote before 10th January!
