Help Design Our New Boathouse

Progress on the construction of our new boathouse continues. Framing, electrical, and plumbing is underway on the 3.5 floors, 8000+ square feet of NBCB space within the structure. Construction and installation of the bulkhead and new launch should start this spring. We hope to have the project completed by summer of 2025.

While the building is being constructed by Broadway Stages (and their contractors), NBCB has its own architects designing the interior spaces. Our recent collaboration with the new Queens Landing Boathouse and Environmental Center (run by Hunters Point Parks Conservancy), has given us a sense of what a boathouse (with a bathroom) can be!

We are looking for your help. If you have a background in architecture, interior design, or any related fields, we'd love to hear your thoughts, get your feedback, and gain from your expertise. Please contact NBCB Board Member Rob Buchanan, and join the Boathouse Design Team for a meeting with our architect to discuss the project.
