Get to Know Your Knots & Your Community Boathouse
Get to know your local boathouse through a fun afternoon of nautical knots, snacks, and hot beverages!
Part of NBCB’s Safety and Marine Knowledge Series, Nautical Knots teaches the most useful knots for kayakers and canoeists including the bowline, clove hitch, rolling hitch, square knot, lark's foot, and how to tie off your boat to a cleat.
Stop by anytime between 1-3 pm on Saturday December 9th, to boost your knot-knowledge, and check out our new (temporary) space at Queens Landing Boathouse and Environmental Center.
It’s an opportunity to learn more about NBCB, membership, and our wide range of programming, including kayak and canoe trips, environmental science & art workshops, and nautical safety and education classes.
We are looking for volunteers to help out at the event. Email contact@nbcboathouse.org if you are interested.
