Team Building & Group Paddles

Let us host your business, club, university, or organization and give to a great cause!

Instead of a typical outing, our inclusive, on-water canoe and kayak trips are a fun activity people will be excited to attend. An NBCB excursion is a one-of-a-kind experience giving participants unique views of Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens, while learning about the history, biodiversity, ecosystem, and revitalization efforts of New York's waterways.

Our group paddles are lead by American Canoe Association (ACA) certified guides, capable of safely and effectively chartering groups of paddlers with varying skills and mobility.

Our trips start with an introduction on land to ease any hesitations and answer questions. After paddle and safety instructions, groups will get on the water in either sit-on-top kayaks, or in our various canoes, including the 29-foot Langley. They'll explore the Newtown Creek and parts of the East River, making stops for breaks, photos, and to observe local wildlife, including birds, oysters, fish and crustaceans.

For business: Improve morale and help develop a strong work culture with this ideal team building activity. Each individual contributes to the overall success of the adventure. The experience will sharpen group skills, communication, and problem solving. Your team will become more cohesive while building confidence on the water.

For any type of organization: Treat your members, students, or guests to a memorable outdoor adventure without leaving the city!

North Brooklyn Community Boathouse is a volunteer run, non-profit 501(c)(3) community organization. All profits made through corporate and team building paddles allows us to provide safe, responsible, human-powered boating to the community, while educating residents not he history and sustainability of our waterways.

We tailor our trips based on the size of your group, experience level, and goals.
